Decorating your Christmas Kitchen Table with a Centrepiece.

A decorative centrepiece is a beautiful focal point for a Christmas table setting. At Christmas Elves our designers can custom make designs fit for a formal banquet or an informal family gathering.

If you’re in need of assistance we can help! We can design and make one just for you or follow these helpful hints and make your own.

As a starting point the centrepiece should be the right size and shape for the table setting. Usually a diamond or circle shape will fit best, sometimes a decorative chandelier hung above the table can be a great space saving solution.

At Christmas Elves we have a wide range of artificial floristry and sprays these can be incorporated into a green swag, teardrop or wreath but first choose a colour palette that works with your Christmas theme your tableware or your interior style.

This year we’ve put together several key looks:

This centrepiece references key trend colours like sage green, pink and copper a perfect fit for a contemporary interior. It’s modern and fresh and would look perfect against white linen and metallic accessories.

A return to botanical themes using dried flowers and in particular Australian natives. This centrepiece works with a rustic or country style interior. Wooden platters, hessian runners and vintage accessories complement this bohemian theme.

Make your own table centrepiece using a pine wreath or pine spray that can be decorated with artificial holly and poinsettia. Tartan is very on trend and a great choice for table wear, go all out with a tartan tablecloth or use tartan as an accent textile for napkins. Don’t forget other ingredients like scented and  battery operated candles can add that final flourish and create the perfect ambience for a very merry Christmas lunch or dinner.
